The GiftedTN YahooGroup is an email-based discussion group
intended to help parents of gifted kids in TN. The topics of
discussion are wide ranging: IEPs, the emotional needs of gifted
children, recent legislation, newspaper stories, and school systems. Members
post news and research articles to keep everyone abreast of research
and trends in gifted programming. The moderator tries to post
several articles each day, especially during low traffic periods.
When parents need help or advice, there are always people who jump in
with useful comments. One thing to remember is that anyone can
join this list -- so it is not a good idea to reveal too much about
your child's identity or test data. And since there are usually
several messages each day, it might be a good idea to log onto the GiftedTN
News Group main page and set your email mode to Digest, which
means that you receive only one message each day.
